3 Club Records Fall at 2010 Short Course Far Westerns
Jacque Jones set a new ConKohrs Barracuda open and 15-18
girls standard in the 200 yard backstroke with a
swim of 2:13.20 in the 17-18 girls finals of this event where she
finished 4rth overall.
The ladies 13-14 400 freestyle relay consisting of leadoff
swimmer Allison Short (57.47), Meagan
Hoch (57.42), Colleen Mayone (54.99) and
Ava Vucina anchoring in (58.81), qualified for USA Sectional
Championships to be held in Santa Clarita, CA this
July. Their time of 3:48.75 eclipsed their own club record set at
Central California Junior Olympics in Bakersfield back in February.
The same 13-14 crew dropped the club age group record in the 200 freestyle
relay to 1:45.08. Leadoff was Meagan Hoch in
26.80, Ava Vucina (27.15), Allison Short (25.68) and Colleen Mayone
anchoring in (25.37).
