ConKohrs Barracudas Elevate Performances at NCAA’s & Conference Championships

At Division II National Swimming & Diving Championships; Carmel High School All-Americans Todd & Blake Langland helped pace the UC San Diego Men’s team to a 7th place finish.  Senior Todd Langland swam to 8th place in the 100 yard free with a time of 45.12 and 9th place in the 50 free with a 20.52.  Sophomore Blake Langland posted a 13 place finish in the 100 freestyle with a 45.61.  Todd and Blake also swam together on the 200 and 400 freestyle relays that finished 3rd and 2nd respectively.  Todd also led off the 800 free relay with a 1:40.29 that finished 9th and anchored the 200 medley relay that finished 10th.

At The Big West Conference Championships; Freshman Emma Hunt was the highest placing UC Santa Barbara swimmer in the finals of the 500 yard freestyle, placing 3rd overall with a 4:56.76.  The Carmel High, MTAL record holder and CCS finalist also placed 6th in the 200 yard freestyle with a 1:52.54 and 7th in the 1000 freestyle with a 10:19.24.

At the New England Small College Athletic Conference Barracuda and former York standout, freshman Jessica Schanzer helped pace Connecticut College to 6th place overall.  Jessica swam to top performances in the 50 yard backstroke, 6th (28.23), 200 backstroke, 9th (2:09.60), 100 yard backstroke, 10th (1:00.32) and was a member of the 200 free relay (4rth), 200 medley relay (6th) and 400 free relay, 4rth.
